“As an orthopedic surgeon with 30 years of experience in a regional trauma center, I have witnessed firsthand the devastating consequences of preventable motor vehicle accidents. “I used to be really scared to drive when it rained. A long time ago, I hydroplaned and got into a bad crash. After that, I would panic every time it rained.
